The Leadership of Pleasant View Church

JESUS (EPHESIANS 1:8-23)

Jesus is the head of the church.

PASTORS (1 TIMOTHY 3: 1-7, TITUS 1: 6-9)

The pastors are called by God to shepherd and lead the church. The pastors represent the primary leadership and meet regularly to discuss the doctrine and direction of the Church, as well as pastoral situations. The pastors preach, teach, and counsel for the glory of God.

Woody Harrison

Pastor of Care

Hi, I’m Woody and this is my wife Rose. We head up the Care Ministry here at Pleasant View. I was born and raised in the New Bridgeville area of York County. I graduated from Red Lion High School in 1977 and was employed in the Tool and Die field for over 35 years. Rose and I were married September 9th, 1978. We have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren who are the joy of our lives. I was called to the ministry in 2008 and ordained in 2013.

In the Care Ministry we focus on connecting with people in the church by visits, sending cards, reaching those with needs, whether in the hospital, at home or wherever a need may be. We also work very closely with the Deacons and oversee their responsibilities.

I like the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, and “fiddling around” with things. History excursions and studying also occupies my time. Rose, who heads up the Card and Flower Ministry, enjoys spending time with family, and looking at recipe books.
