The Leadership of Pleasant View Church
JESUS (EPHESIANS 1:8-23)
Jesus is the head of the church.
PASTORS (1 TIMOTHY 3: 1-7, TITUS 1: 6-9)
The pastors are called by God to shepherd and lead the church. The pastors represent the primary leadership and meet regularly to discuss the doctrine and direction of the Church, as well as pastoral situations. The pastors preach, teach, and counsel for the glory of God.
Jay McWilliams, senior pastor. “I was born and raised in Glen Rock, Southern York County, grew up in the Loganville area and now live in Windsor, PA.”
“I married Joyce, on October 19, 1974 and together we raised three sons. We have 10 grandchildren with another one on the way! Our family is a true blessing from God.”
“I was called into the ministry April 26th of 1976. After three years of classes, I was ordained into the ministry on August 26th, 1979. At that time Pleasant View had the bi-vocational ministry and I had the privilege to serve under and with many godly men. Pleasant View called me into full time ministry in 2010.”
“Most of my life I worked in construction, running heavy equipment and as a general manager for the last company I worked at for 21 years.”
“I love to fish and spend time on our deck and yard. Both Joyce and I love to spend time at the ocean and enjoy times with our family and all the excitement that grandkids bring.”
“Joyce and I love Pleasant View and feel it is such an honor to serve God with all those who come here.”

Hi, I’m Woody and this is my wife Rose. We head up the Care Ministry here at Pleasant View. I was born and raised in the New Bridgeville area of York County. I graduated from Red Lion High School in 1977 and was employed in the Tool and Die field for over 35 years. Rose and I were married September 9th, 1978. We have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren who are the joy of our lives. I was called to the ministry in 2008 and ordained in 2013.
In the Care Ministry we focus on connecting with people in the church by visits, sending cards, reaching those with needs, whether in the hospital, at home or wherever a need may be. We also work very closely with the Deacons and oversee their responsibilities.
I like the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, and “fiddling around” with things. History excursions and studying also occupies my time. Rose, who heads up the Card and Flower Ministry, enjoys spending time with family, and looking at recipe books.
