The leadership of Pleasant View Church is setup like the following
JESUS (EPHESIANS 1:8-23)
Jesus is the head of the church.
ELDERS (1 TIMOTHY 3: 1-7, TITUS 1: 6-9)
The elders (“pastors”) are appointed by God to shepherd and lead the church. The elders/pastors represent the primary leadership and meet regularly to discuss the doctrine and direction of the Church, as well as pastoral situations. The elders/pastors endeavour to preach, teach, and counsel for the glory of God.
Jay McWilliams, senior pastor. Born and raised in Southern York County around Glen Rock, Loganville and now the Red Lion area.
I married the most beautiful woman in God’s creation, Joyce, on October 19th , 1974 and together we raised three sons and have at this time 9 grandchildren. Our family is a true blessing from God.
I was called into the ministry in April 26th of 1976 and after three years of classes, was ordained into the ministry on August 26th, 1979. At that time Pleasant View had the bi-vocational ministry and I had the privilege to serve under and with many godly men. Pleasant View called me into full time ministry in 2010.
Most of my life I have worked construction. Running heavy equipment and as a general manager for the last company I worked at for 21 years.
I love to fish and spend time on our deck and the yard. Both Joyce and I love to spend time at the ocean and enjoy above all the times with my family and all the excitement that grand kids bring.
Joyce and I love Pleasant View and feel it is such an honor to serve God with all those who come here.
If you are looking for a church or just wondering what this “Christ thing “ is all about, you will find this is a great place to come and see.

Pastor of Ministries
I am the Pastor of Ministries. I don’t like the word pastor as I am just a normal person who struggles and fails and needs lifted up by my Lord. As pastor of ministries, I teach class 301 which helps the student discover their SHAPE. We examine Spiritual gifts, Heart (passion), Abilities, Personality and Experiences. All of these things help us find our best spot for serving here at PV and in your community.
I have been married to my best friend, Joyce for 30 years. Joyce and I run our Family Fun Day and VBS together. We have 3 children, Kristen, Kellie and Ryan a grandson, Cameron and a grandchild on the way.
My hobbies/passions are American History (1776-1900), reading and sports. You will see me cheering on the Orioles, Ravens and Penn State. Joyce and I are also season ticket holders for the York Revolution and enjoy our times together at the ballpark.
Pastor of Visitation
Hi, I’m Woody and this is my wife Rose. We head up the Visitation Ministry here at Pleasant View. I was born and raised in the New Bridgeville area of York County. Graduated from Red Lion High School in 1977 and was employed in the Tool and Die Field for over 35 years. Rose and I were married September 9th, 1978. We have 3 daughters and six grandchildren who are the joy of our lives. I was called to the ministry in 2008 and ordained in 2013.
In the Ministry of Visitation we focus on connecting the church with the real life that each of us face through visitations, cards reaching those in the congregation with needs, whether in the hospital, at home or where ever a need may be. We work very closely with the Senior Pastor and the Head of Fellowship Ministry.
I like the outdoors, hiking and bicycling, and “fiddling around” with things. History excursions and studying also occupies my time. Rose, who heads up the Card and Flower Ministry with Linda Stremmel, enjoys the simple things of life, spending time with family, resting and looking at recipe books.
