We are starting a new series called “A Way Out”. For the next four weeks we are going to look at temptation. We will learn about what it is and what it is not. We are going to look at the ‘way out’ that God promises us if we take it. I hope you will join us.
We are bringing our series, "In the Meantime", to a close this week by looking at 'the comfort zone'. This is where we, who have been comforted by God in our ‘in the meantime’ moments, realize that we now can pass that comfort on to others who desperately need it.
What do you do when there is nothing you can do? That is the big question we are looking at in this series called “In the Meantime.” So often when we are in a tough situation where there seems like no way out, we can quit, walk away or just tune it all out. We often think that we will never be happy again or we think that nothing good can come from this. Sometimes we may even think about not trying anymore, that there is no point in continuing with life. I want to tell you that they are not right thoughts or responses to our “in the meantime” moments of life.
What if we looked and saw our adversity as a gift from God. How would that change how we think and act?
In Christ there is an element, there is a way to find and achieve contentment in spite of the fact that you have no control over what's going on around you.
